tercet (noun): a set or group of three lines of verse rhyming together or connected by rhyme with an adjacent tercet.
Everyone holds the whispered reflection, depression, and affection for the past, present, and future. While all three move with the flow of our life and life choices, the past, present, and future are ephemeral, much like the scent, taste, and aftertaste of tercet. The alcohol may hold ephemerality, but each smell, taste, and aftertaste lingers in your mind & memory. Moving through the flow of the tercet, the gin– the soft & familiar– whispers in your nose like a wildflower, the vodka– the sad & unknown– cuts through your throat like the grip of tears, & the whiskey– the warm & new– sits like a smoldering fire in your throat. With the fluid movement, each stage of our life flows seamlessly as one, as we reflect, depress, and affect for our dream.
The three bottles of tercet rhyme together like our past, present, & future and move us through our life's three lines.
A single hand, highlighted for the things we've touched & the times past. A flowerless elderflower branch weathered & symbolizing the new beginnings yet to come. A lacey doily & blurred mind for the memories ravaged by time.
A tied ribbon, to symbolize the finalized past.
A blue, clear eye, captured within a polaroid. A branch of blueberries, to symbolize the introspection of the present & the wisdom gained.
A looped ribbon to symbolize the in progress process.
An anatomical heart, rooted with ginger & lit with a fire. A single daffodil, to symbolize the rebirth & new beginnings each future brings.
A ribbon to symbolize the never achieved future.
